Dahab enjoys the closest tropical weather to Europe, and consequently a year round tourist season.

Summer Season
In Summer gentle sea breezes keep the highest of the summer temperatures down. It is important to keep hydrated by consuming plenty of bottled water, and to be equipped with a good quality sunscreenin winter the climate remains extremely pleasant although it can get a little chilly at night.

Winter Sun
In in winter the climate remains extremely pleasant although it can get a little chilly at night. A warm jumper is advisable for the evenings.

Water Temperatures
Year round water temperatures are warm making both diving, snorkelling and swimming a pleasure.

Sun and Precipitation
Dahab averages approximately 94 percent clear skies throughout the year, Rain is exceptionally rare- maybe a light shower once a year and a full downpour approximately every five years.

Airport Transfers

We can easily arrange your airport transfer from either Sharm el Shiehk (1 hour) or Cairo (8 hours). Our driver will meet you and your party personally at the airport (up to six to one air-conditioned vehicle) and transfer you swifly directly to the hotel entrance!

You may want to make your own arrangements. From Sharm it is possible to take a private taxi all the way to Dahab or instead to the East Delta bus station, where buses leave for Dahab 4 times a day.

Likewise from Cairo it is possible to take a private taxi all the way, or again to the East Delta bus station where inexpensive buses leave for Dahab at:

The Bedouin have inhabited the Sinai for many hundreds of years and still retain the ancient skills of survival necessary for such a hostile enviroment.

At Red Sea Relax we offer the chance to meet with the Bedouin, learn about their culture, and taste their traditional cuisine during a desert dinner high above Dahab and under the clear desert skies. You will also be treated to a display of Beduoin singing and music.

St-Katherines Monastery

Situated just over 2000 meters above Sea Level in central Sinai lies the dramatic summit of Mount Sinai or Gebl Musa (Moses Mountain) in the local dialect.

Sacred to Christains, Muslims and Jews alike as the location where Moses received the 10 Commandment from God, this beautiful mountain can be climbed at night in 2-3 hours allowing the spectacular Sunrise to be viewed at dawn.

Following the Pilgims Path down there is time to visit the oldest monatery on earth St Katherine’s at the base of the mountain. Here one can view ancient icons in the museum, marvel at the remarkable architecture of the original Bazantine Church and view the site of the Burning Bush of Biblical fame.

This overnight trip is a firm favourite with our customers. You may wish however to do the day time version visiting the monastery first follwed by a trek up the mountain to see sunset.

Dahab is famed in Sinai for the rich colour of its bazaars, the wonderful variety of shopping available and the amazing bargains on offer. Tourists from as far away as Sharm el Shiehk and Neuwebba are regular visitors to the narrow streets, shopping for the latest deals.

Within meters of the Hotel you can browse the stalls for gold, silver, carpets, papyrus, perfumes and a host of the “New Age” crafts that give Dahab its traditional “traveller” flavour.

If the mood takes why not treat yourself to an inexpensive henna tattoo, or an individually crafted souvenir.
